“Petals for the Cure” was created with the goal to raise funds to help SAVE LIVES which may have been lost due to breast cancer. The two benefiting organizations work hand-in-hand towards this goal. Beyond Boobs promotes breast cancer health education to help in early detection and support through the treatment process. Susan G. Komen foundation is dedicated to breast cancer education, screening and research, which will find a cure for this deadly disease.
So join us for a bike tour to help “petal” for the cure. There are 2 events on Saturday, October 8th, 2011. Both events beginning at 8am. A 7-mile “Fun Tour” that is great for families and a 22-mile bike tour that is for those who like a challenge. The bike tour will go throughout Newport News. Enjoy festivities at Anderson’s all day. This is a great experience for the whole family.
